It seems that virtual assignments don't work with strings.

Hi Jason,
Did you ever find a remedy to this problem?
I'm working on a demo file that I'd like to change say the HP filter type over three channels from one virtual control.  I've been sucessfull with other controls for delays, gains, freq and 'q' values etc but nothing with strings so far.
