Nion LCD front panel blinks 3 times

I upgraded some Nion N3's to 1.66b today and I am noticing on them that the LCD screen on the front panel blinks 3 times every minute. any body know what this means?
Things seem to be running fine and I am not seeing any fault LED's. First time I have seen this.

Hi Gary,
The front panel screen on the NION blinks when the unit is pinged. So something on the network is probably pinging addresses on the network to see what addresses are being used.
If you go to the web interface for the NION, go to the "Hardware" page, there is a check box you can un-check to make the front panel not blink when the unit is pinged.
