How vulnerable are the Nions to consistent abrupt shut downs due to unexpected power and/or UPS failures
OR
are they rugged enough to take this non graceful shutting down all the time without any hardware or software hiccups ???
Appreciate any advise or user experiences encountered so far.

I have repeatedly unplugged and replugged a unit when we were having a front panel problem, with no ill effects to the Nion or the software.  I have not heard of any users having any problems with sudden power interruptions.

The units have been designed to tolerate this.  However, if you have short dropouts or brownouts, a UPS is a good idea.
